DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH

Talk about descriptive, it has correlation about the describing objects, pictures, things arround. Am I right ? From that can be conclude that descriptive paragraph is a paragraph that describe or explain something from where the objects being described are located which is called spatial organization. It has social function is to describe a particular person, place or thing. Descriptive paragraph is very simple but there are so many point that you have know. When you want to make descriptive paragraph you should know about the generic structure. It consist of identification that is identifies phenomenon to be described, description that is describes part, qualities, characteristics. If you are to write a paragraph, it has to have three main component in the structure as described below. Those are, topic sentences, supporting sentences, concludinf sentences. It has lexicogramatical features that you should give attention about this. They are, using linking verb or verb of senses such as look, smell, taste, see, seem, using three parameter of sense : visual, auditory, smell, using spatial order in which preposition precedes the verb and the subjects, using multiple tenses based on the time : past, present and future. There are so many objects that we can describe. The example describing thing, it can be bag, shoes, table, chair, house etc. Describing people, it can be describe your self, your family, teacher, artist, etc. In fact, when we want to make descriptive text, we should observe the properties include of size, colour, shape, purpose, measurement like length, width, weight, speed, analogy that is like, resembles and the location it self like, in, above, below, beside, near, etc. From that you can develop into descriptive paragraph. From the description of explanation above that descriptive paragraph is a representation the absent object being described.
